A coastal storm is expected to develop off of Connecticut on Thursday bringing gusty winds, heavy rain, and the potential for some snow.
Our team of First Alert meteorologists expects rain to develop across the state on Thursday changing to a period of snow in the hilltowns Thursday night. As the storm pulls away a mixture of rain and snow is expected on Friday along with gusty winds and temperatures well below normal in the 30s and 40s.

For tonight, mostly cloudy with the chance for isolated showers and storms across our southeastern counties. There will be a chance for an isolated strong storm from a Waurika-to-Throckmorton line and southeastward. The main threats for any storms that become strong/severe will be hail up to the size of quarters. Winds will be out of the northeast at 10-15 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the mid 40s.

Saturday Night: Rain Exits
After hours upon hours of wind-driven rain, this rain will finally begin to exit the region Saturday evening. Showers will clear the area from west to east, with rain likely ending in our western counties before sunset. For folks east of HWY 63, the final drops are likely to fall sometime between 8 PM and 11 PM.Â
